Why is it that most Christians ignore this encouragement or resent it when you offer insight?

More and more, I am realizing the truth of this, yet I find it hard to do. two things strike me as the problem here. First, when it comes down to it, I think I'm right about everything. Second, I think its because we don't have a sense of community that allows for that. We just aren't close enough to people to trust that they really care for us, even though they are saying some hard things.
